Donations

To accomplish our mission, the Historic Aviation Memorial Museum (HAMM) uses private funds to finance the operation of the museum to showcase historic aviation memorabilia and aircraft. No taxpayer dollars are used. Opportunities exist for honoring individuals, businesses, or foundations with named gifts and also for special recognition for contributors at key giving levels. All donations are tax-deductible. Donations of any amount can be made in the following ways:

  • Mail in form along with a check payable to HAMM or Historic Aviation Memorial Museum. Mail to: Historic Aviation Memorial Museum, 150 Airport Drive, Suite 2-7, Tyler, TX 75704
  • Make a donation through a transfer of public company stock which will eliminate your paying a capital gains to the IRS.
  • Make your annual community support campaign pledge to the Historic Aviation Memorial Museum through the company where you work; many companies match individual donations.
  • Make a bequest to the Historic Aviation Memorial Museum in your will.

Upon receiving your donation, we will send you a receipt showing the total amount of your donation for your income tax records.

Special Project

Brick Recognition Courtyard

The project will provide an opportunity for anyone to purchase an engraved brick to honor a relative, friend, business associate or in memory of a special person. The bricks will be installed in the grassy area outside the north terminal lobby. Bricks cost $125 each, with all proceeds funding the Historic Aviation Memorial Museum.

Named Gifts

Donors are offered unique opportunities to honor an individual, business, or foundation. Special plaques will be placed in the appropriate areas of the Museum building in recognition of a donor's support to the HAMM. These naming opportunities will be formalized in written agreements with the Historic Aviation Memorial Museum and are generally in the $20,000 - $50,000 range. Please contact the museum.

Adopt A Plane

We have to keep our planes on static display presentable as required in our contracts with the military. This is all done at our expense. If you'd like to "adopt" a plane, please consider contributing to the funding of upkeep. Please name the plane you'd like to adopt.
